Add some greenery to any room with this kind of gorgeous along with trendy succulent wall planter. In just a few simple steps you can create your own eye catching (along with living!) wall art. along with as easy as the idea can be to create this kind of piece, the idea’s even easier to upkeep the idea with just a sparse watering here along with there when the soil dries! Low maintenance with high style, a great solution for bringing green into your living space.
- Wooden box
- Plastic wrap or cling
- Acrylic paint
- Paint brush
- Super glue
- Gardening gloves
- Various succulents in different sizes along with colors, multiples
- (optional) Billy Balls or some other accessories
Here we used a lovely box of which was already finished along with ready to hang on a wall. To makes this kind of project as easy as 1-2-3, however if you are out of luck sourcing a wall box at a store along with are in need of a box (along with more specifically want a hexagon box)! due to this kind of project we did opt to leave the wood natural along with unfinished as to keep our plants healthy, however we did add just a little pop of colour to the edges of the box using a colorful acrylic craft paint along using a simple brush. Let dry along with then move on to the next step.
Once your paint can be dry, cut a large piece of plastic wrap or plastic cling (pull along with seal works great!) along with add a little glue to the inside of the box. This kind of will make the inside of your box water proof to protect the wood through rotting long term through frequent waterings. For the project we only sealed the sides about half way up the box because we wanted to leave the sides somewhat exposed to catch excess dirt of which falls through the plants between waterings as the soil dries.
Next comes the fun part, getting creative with your planter design! Lay a thick base layer of moist soil (if the idea’s on the dry side just add a little water to the idea along with mix the idea up to make the idea packable within the planter). Then add in your plants. Some of the succulents you can plant directly, however if they are too long or large for the planter you along with cut off the top along with stick the idea directly within the soil.
Succulents will propagate, meaning they will grow roots through where they were cut so don’t worry about them dying. Place your succulents all around the planter along with fill in gaps with moss, billy balls, air plants, or some other fun accessories!
Once the planter can be filled up, give the whole thing a nice spritz of water (to make sure all your succulents are well hydrated) along with let dry over night. Place a nail within the wall along with hang (our box had an attached hook on the back ready to go) to display your brand new planter!
