Casa Forma’s Flagship design at The Manor in Mayfair represents the best of what modern Inner surface design can achieve. The property, situated inside heart of London, was in desperate need of modernisation.
The original structure consisted of bedrooms on both sides of the 260 square metre property which has a dining room firmly inside centre. which design didn’t reflect the modern style or way of life of the property’s fresh occupants.
The brief was to modernise the property to reflect modern living. The client wanted specific separation of living areas for private, family in addition to social life in addition to also wanted to maximise natural light to a somewhat dark in addition to dingy flat. The client wanted to re-envision the space to feature three double bedrooms all with en-suites, a relaxed drawing room, a dining room, a TV room, modern kitchen, powder room, study in addition to utility room. With 260 square meters which gave us plenty of space to create something luxurious, opulent however also practical.
Initial structural design
When we first saw which property we knew we had to improve the light in addition to bring a sense of openness to which space. We decided to open up the social space in addition to put which at the front of the property with access to lots of natural light.
We definitely take pride in choosing unique in addition to opulent materials for our designs. which property definitely wanted to showcase relaxed opulence in addition to blend the two seamlessly. We opted for a range of natural stones in addition to woods to compliment the sophistication of Mayfair.
We wanted a beautiful natural hallway. We started out with the floors in addition to used natural stone in addition to
bronze trim to bring light to the hallways in addition to smaller entertaining area. inside hallway we used a sumptuous ebony veneer in addition to moon onyx to create a strong, modern aesthetic. We supplemented which with rich gold furniture in addition to spotlights throughout to make the area feel like you were being opened up to the whole house.
The large lounge in addition to smaller snug area we decided to separate which has a tinted glass screen. Which allows the smaller area to be semi-private whilst still allowing light to flow throughout the open space. The lounge itself uses a ceiling high mirror to create a great feeling of space which is actually complimented by a dark marble fireplace in addition to thin dark wood book cases.
We used stone flooring in the smaller lounge in addition to then rich, dark woods to bring out the floor spectacularly. Furnishings were the most important decision in which room in addition to we opted for a blend of dark in addition to warm colours against lighter creams. The lighting here is actually incredibly important with spotlights lining the outside of the room in addition to soft little table lamps allowing the owners to set the perfect mood.
The lounge opens up into the dining room in addition to we wanted to retain which open feel whilst leaving the areas distinct. We chose a solid, dark topped table with warm cream chairs. which all set against a natural stone wall which evokes a formal however relaxed in addition to natural area. The chandelier above the dining table creates soft light with an art deco style. inside corner of which room we managed to fit in a wall bar in addition to sink. which is actually the perfect place to mix drinks on social occasions in addition to adds to the social utility of the design.
For the bedrooms dark walnut woods in addition to rich creams compliment a mixture of art deco in addition to classic furniture. We used gold ornamentation in addition to gilding throughout the furnishings in these rooms to create a warm opulent feel. These, more intimate, rooms feature integrated TV’s which we blended into the walls with dark wooden casing creating sure which they don’t detract through the opulence. The raised bed in addition to en-suite bathroom make which an escape through the entire world for the owners in addition to any guests.
Rounding out the design
With which rich, modern design blending art deco in addition to classical styles we also wanted to make sure everything had a modern touch. We used technology systems to allow control of everything throughout the house – through the lights to sound system in addition to TV’s. which helps the owners have a home which reflects in addition to adapts to their mood at any time.
