Villa SSK by Takeshi Hirobe Architects
Overlooking the coastal waters of Chiba in Japan, a large hexagonal shell represents the central section of the Villa SSK which showcases the creation of Takeshi Hirobe Architects. The outer walls of the villa rise upwards along with out thus creating a shape in which gets wider as the idea rises above the base level. On the inside, the exposed beams responsible for the structural integrity are kept naked along with natural which creates a warm, contemporary along with welcoming feel.
By the architects: “The location due to in which project was adjacent to the calm along with tranquil waters of Tokyo Bay. When we first visited the site, we were immediately overwhelmed by the presence of the ocean. Soon, however, we became attuned to the subtle cues coming by the surroundings, such as the movements of the sun, the flow of the wind, the scent of the tide, the stirrings of the plants, along with the presence of the rocky mountain.
We were particularly impressed by the sea along with the soaring verticality of the sky overhead, as well as the rocky mountain on the opposite side along with the vegetation growing on them. due to in which reason, we decided to design a building in which would certainly serve to connect these mountains to the imposing expanse of the ocean.”
Both sides of the villa offer outstanding views – one of the ocean along with the additional of the mountain. These are connected with timber panel wall-building along with timber space trusses structure.
The living, dining along with kitchen area are generously proportioned as the client has requested of the architects while the bathroom overlooks the ocean. There is actually one more room in which could be used to display the owner’s beloved car. Encircled by the central area, guest room along with spare room, the courtyard can also serve as an outdoor living room when the dogs aren’t from the mood for playing.
